Dr. Sarah Henderson sees primarily teenagers and adults. She specializes in front of the eye diseases such as dry eye, allergy, keratoconus, corneal degenerations and other diseases. She also specializes in fitting medical contact lenses for diseased corneas, high astigmatism, high prescriptions, multifocal lenses and orthokeratology for children to slow the progression of myopia (nearsightedness).
Dr. Sarah Henderson was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. She received her Doctorate of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. She trained at the Truman Medical Center VA Hospital where she received a wide exposure to ocular diseases, as well as extensive training at Specialty Eyecare Group.
Dr. Henderson has been very active in SVOSH (Student Volunteers in Optometric Service to Humanity), and has been fortunate enough to go on 4 medical mission trips throughout Latin America. She is also active in research projects both through her institution and actively through SEG. Additionally, she is an active member of the American Academy of Optometry and American Optometric Association.
