What Causes Dry Eye Syndrome?

Research has shown that for most people, dry eye is caused due to the evaporation of tears, which naturally contain water and oil. When our tears don’t have enough oil, they evaporate faster than they should. Our goal is to slow tear evaporation down so you can keep your eyes open longer and more comfortably. Another cause of dry eye is water (or aqueous) deficiency, which means the eye does not produce enough tear volume.
