Dr. Sydney Kapp grew up in Dallas, Texas, and earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Missouri–St. Louis College of Optometry. Drawn to the Pacific Northwest, she completed a residency in Pediatric Optometry and Vision Rehabilitation at Northwest Eye Care Professionals. During her training, she gained extensive experience treating children with strabismus (eye misalignment), amblyopia (lazy eye), and vision-related learning difficulties, as well as patients of all ages recovering from traumatic brain injuries. She specializes in diagnosing and treating binocular vision dysfunction, ensuring both eyes work in sync, and utilizes specialty lenses and vision therapy to help patients achieve their most comfortable, functional vision.

Dr. Amy Gu grew up in Toronto, Ontario, and pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with Dean’s Honours. She continued her education at the University of Waterloo, where she obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree. Currently, she is a Cornea & Contact Lens Resident, where she provides advanced clinical care, participates in research studies, and attends industry conferences. Her residency, affiliated with Pacific University, focuses on fitting specialty contact lenses, myopia management, and dry eye treatment.
